Grupo SOL was founded in 2018 by impact investor Mark E. Curry to focus on the rebuilding of a stronger economy in Puerto Rico that is founded on local businesses, Puerto Rican entrepreneurs, and the creation of sustainable careers and services for Puerto Rico’s workers. With active and ongoing investments in new media, professional services, health and fitness, and more, Grupo SOL is working for Puerto Rico.
Our Team
Mark E. Curry – Founder & CEO
Mark E. Curry is the founder and CEO of Grupo SOL. He is also the president and CEO of SOL Partners, a fintech consulting company located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Mark has over 20 years in the fintech space and has founded and exited businesses in sectors ranging from litigation support, software development, and consumer finance. In addition to starting successful businesses, Mark has also founded local non-profit organizations, including the Mark E. Curry Family Foundation and De la Mesa a la Calle.Mark attended Rockhurst University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing and Baker University where he earned his MBA. Mark enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and mentoring young entrepreneurs.
Miguel Príncipe – President
As President of Grupo SOL, Miguel explores investment opportunities in financial services, technology, innovation, and real estate. He also manages operations at SOL Partners. Miguel has over 20 years of management experience in finance and technology.Miguel enjoys exploring new ways to help businesses grow, networking, and government relations.
Felix Cosme – Controller
Felix earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from the University of Puerto Rico and he is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Felix spends his free time biking, reading, and hanging out with his son.
Francisco Pérez – General Counsel
As General Counsel of Grupo SOL, Francisco is responsible for managing all legal aspects of the company including, the structuring of debt and equity transactions, compliance and regulatory matters, maintaining all corporate governance affairs, overseeing human resources functions, and government relations, among others. Prior to joining Grupo SOL, Francisco spent time as a Legal Advisor to the Chief Investment Officer of the Government of Puerto Rico and Puerto Rico Fiscal Agency and Financial Advisory Authority. Before joining the Government of Puerto Rico, he was an Associate Attorney specializing in corporate law at a top Puerto Rican firm.Francisco graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law.
